Build the net. A grid of nodes linked by springs (rest length = the spacing), with a few nodes pinned as supports.
Let it fall. Each frame: pull every free node down by gravity, then satisfy each spring's length a few times (Verlet dynamic relaxation) — the net sags into a catenary, hands-free.
Read the forces. Colour each edge by how much it's stretched — the glowing magenta lines are the load path. The faint mirror above is the same form inverted: the pure-compression shell.

NOW APPLY IT TO A BUILDING → this isn't a picture of a structure, it's the design method. A hung net finds a geometry that stands in pure tension; flip it and you have a shape that stands in pure compression — no bending: masonry vaults (Gaudí, the ETH Armadillo Vault), timber gridshells (Frei Otto's Mannheim), tensile roofs. Move the supports and the whole optimal shell re-forms — exactly what RhinoVAULT / Kangaroo do inside Grasshopper.
